The "live" conference will take place during the weekend of Jan. 23-24. During the preceding week, each evening we’ll release pre-recorded panel discussions and presentations addressing key issues facing our movement, which you can watch any time.

We have video and written guides on how to use Sched and Gather, our two online platforms for the conference, at our Support Desk here. If you still have technical issues, you can click the "Contact Us" button on the left of this page, email us at conference@healthcare-now.org, OR submit a ticket at the Conference Support Desk.

Dive into the Conference "Gather" map!

Gather.town is a platform that lets you virtually walk around a conference map - just like you would at an in-person conference - and video chat with people who you are close to. The South Wing of the map also hosts the conference "Strategy Questions" - overarching questions we need to answer as a movement to take the next leap forward in winning Medicare for All. During this session you should visit the Strategy Questions and use the collaborative whiteboards to post your thoughts and replies, and you can informally chat and catch up with other activists on the way! There is also a games area, an area for educational videos on Medicare for All, and an area for private or small-group meetings.

Conference Strategy Questions

  1. Organizing in 2020 was difficult without the ability to safely meet in groups, and we are likely to face continued restrictions for much of 2021. What are the most effective tactics and campaigns you have seen (from our movement or others) that are safe with distancing?
  2. What are the greatest new threats to the Medicare for All movement you see in 2021, and how can we best mitigate those threats?
  3. What outcomes in 2021 would mean that it was a successful year for our movement?
  4. What groups or unions in your state are not yet involved in the Medicare for All, who need to be involved for us to win? How do we overcome their objections? How can we get them on board?
  5. Biden is President and Democrats control the House and Senate. How do we keep momentum on Medicare for All when Democratic leadership is likely to introduce incremental health reforms? Are there any measures short of Medicare for All that would advance our movement?
